Here comes the bride ... and check out her shoes!

Oh how far we’ve come since the day of the dyeable shoe! Today, brides can get as cute and creative as they choose. Gone are the days of bridesmaid shoes that can only be worn once — these are cute enough to wear year round.

Robert Verdi, celebrity stylist and editor of Piperlime.com, has these style suggestions for putting your best foot forward on the big day.

Go casual. Thinking about keeping it simple? Verdi suggests a comfortable espadrille as he thinks “it’s perfect for a romantic countryside wedding.”

Glam It Up. Gold is a hot color this year and as Verdi says it’s a great way to add some color as “you can definitely wear it after the wedding as well!”

Island Hop. Destination weddings have become all the rage in recent years.  Opt for a jeweled sandal as Verdi says, “It’s super chic and amazing with a simple strapless dress.”

Sail Away. Yes, a nautical wedding as Verdi says, “It’s just too cute, especially if the bride wears a navy sash on her gown.”
